Mental Health Virtual Assistant
Overview
Do you have a degree in a psychology or counseling field but you don’t want to be a therapist? Are you on track to getting your license but aren’t quite there yet? You’ve come to the right place! We are looking for new virtual assistants to join our team in to assist professionals in the mental health field, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and counselors. Experience or education in the field of mental health is a requirement.
Possible tasks would include the following:
New patient/client screenings and intakes, communications with current patients/clients, scheduling, direct patient/client billing, insurance billing, insurance benefits eligibility verification, email management, general administrative support, payroll, marketing, Social Media Management, EHR updates and management, research and transcriptions
This is a 1099 position. Although assistants could add multiple clients to build as many hours as preferred, there will be a gradual build-up of hours. A typical client will have an average of 20-30 hours per month. Although part-time, assistant needs to be accessible to clients between 9am-5pm Monday through Friday in the client’s time zone.
Because the nature of this position will allow you access to clients’ personal information including confidential medical and financial records, you must consent to a criminal and credit background check as part of the application process, which will be run by TransUnion. Information obtained will be used in conjunction with all other data from the application process.
Starting rate is $20 an hour depending upon experience and education, with performance-based increases available.
