Job Description: Concierge & Client Service (Part-Time, 20 hours per week)
The oldest childcare company in NYC, has maintained a stellar reputation in the NYC community and beyond for over 85 years. Our team provides elite childcare services to prominent families, international travelers, businesses, hotels, and large-scale events. We invite qualified candidates with strong credentials and a passion for child care to apply for a part-time role as Concierge & Client Service.
This is a 20-hour per week position afternoon hours, beginning at 3/4 p.m. – 7/8pm EST, ideally including one weekend day.
Key Responsibilities:
Responding to phone calls, emails, and messages from clients (families, hotels, etc.).
Logging details of sitting jobs in multiple online systems.
Assigning sitters based on availability, location, and skills.
Managing scheduling for babysitting and pet-sitting jobs using an online system.
Coordinating ongoing engagements like childcare during Sunday services.
Communicating with sitters about schedules and availability.
Addressing issues with clients and reporting to the agency.
Supporting the CEO with administrative tasks such as job postings, recruiting, conducting screens and scheduling interviews.
Must be able to work as part of a team as will work with another scheduler on alternate hours .
Required Skills:
Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Google Suite, Calendly, Zoom, DocuSign, Canva, Indeed and scheduling software.
Ability to communicate professionally with clients and staff.
Familiarity with NYC, Brooklyn, Queens, and surrounding areas like Hoboken, NJ, is preferred.
Solution-oriented mindset to manage a complex schedule with moving parts.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and address client complaints effectively.
Qualifications:
Proficient in managing tech tools (email, scheduling apps, docu-signs, recruiting tools etc.).
Must pass a background check and possess US Work Authorization.
Experience in customer service and a college degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience recruiting, conducting screening interviews and making recommendations.
Highly organized and excellent attention to detail.
HR Background helpful and preferred.
