Freelance Graphic Designer Position

Ocean 5 seeks a freelance graphic designer to create graphic designs that WOW.

Hours:

  • Project-based, independent contractor/freelance (if you are seeking or entertaining a full-time employee position, this position will not be a good fit).
  • Generally available 8-5 Eastern, M–F

Location: Fully remote, U.S.

What You’ll Be Creating

Our Graphic Designers work with our Marketing Strategists and Creative Director to create designs for a wide variety of exciting projects including:

  • Content marketing assets
  • Social media and other digital graphics
  • Trade show displays and materials
  • Branding and marketing materials
  • Video
  • Website design—handed off to the development team for implementation
  • PowerPoint templates and presentations

Graphic Designer Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Marketing Strategists to create outstanding creative deliverables for our clients.
  • Work within our project management tools.
  • Access and deliver files in Google Drive.
  • Work white-label representing Ocean 5.
  • Interact directly with clients when needed.
  • Hit milestones and deadlines, meeting QA requirements.
  • Use customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain impeccable quality assurance and attention to detail.

Graphic Designer Must-Haves

  • Strong portfolio of B2B and B2G branding and marketing materials
  • Desire to work in a white-label role
  • Client management experience
  • Great project management skills
  • People-oriented and able to collaborate with diplomacy
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude
  • Work remotely with own professional equipment and licensed professional software, mainly Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills—both spoken and written—fluent in English
  • Available during business hours Eastern time
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Industry Experience

  • Government contracting (B2G)
  • Cybersecurity, software, technology
  • Logistics
  • Manufacturing

Required Proficiencies

Creative design and execution, including digital, web, and print.

  • Marketing best practices
  • Adobe Suite
  • Canva
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Email—Mail Chimp, HubSpot
  • Social media best practices
  • Printing best practices

Desirable Additional Skills

  • Basic website development—WordPress
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of inbound and HubSpot marketing automation
  • Video editing
