Overview

Job Purpose:
The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for maximizing sales volume by selling corporate products over the telephone to meet sales and revenue goals. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base through remote communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Making Outbound Calls:

  • Contact lapsed customers from previous years (2024, 2023, 2022, 2021).
  • Engage in meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and present suitable solutions.
  • Involve National Sales Managers or representatives if necessary.
  • Utilize phone calls, emails, and other remote communication tools to sell products and services.

Maintaining and Growing Existing Client Relationships:

  •  Ensure ongoing satisfaction of existing clients by providing excellent customer service.
  •  Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services.

Understanding Customer Needs:

  • Listen to and understand the specific needs and preferences of customers.
  • Provide personalized recommendations and solutions.

HD Pro Desk & Lowes Pro Desk Connection:

  • Join the hotline pro desk number.
  • Call locations without outside sales contacts to identify the appropriate contact person.
  • Assist in adding new sales rep contact lists for future communications.

Developing New Leads and Communicating with Customers:

  • Continuously seek out new leads through networking, referrals, and other methods.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to build trust and loyalty.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date email database.

Processing Orders:

  • Accurately process customer orders and ensure all necessary information is recorded.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of orders.

Informing Customers of Delivery Details:

  • Keep customers informed about the status of their orders and expected delivery times.
  • Address any concerns or questions related to delivery promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Education: College degree or 2 years of consumer sales experience, preferably in a call center environment. Skills and Attributes: Ambitious, resourceful, high energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment. Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving, and challenging environment. Self-Motivation: Desire to expand personal professional knowledge of products and selling skills. Language and Mathematical Skills: Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effective presentation and communication skills. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, weight, and volume. Computer Skills: • Proficient in Microsoft Office products • NetSuite knowledge a plus • Salsify experience a plus Desirables: • Successful B2B sales experience. • Understanding of DHI Corp.’s products, services, and industry (Consumer Goods). Physical Demands: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
